HOW OUR BAND STARTED

In the vibrant autumn of 2023, Ezzah, a passionate and talented rhythm guitarist, found herself drowning in a sea of unlimited songs she had penned and composed over the years. The melodies and lyrics clamored for expression, begging to be woven into an immersive musical journey. Fueled by an unyielding desire to bring her creations to life, Ezzah decided it was time to embark on a new chapter of her musical journey.

Ezzah reached out to an old comrade, Arel, to help assemble a team of like-minded musicians who could breathe life into her musical visions. Arel, having shared the stage with Ezzah in a local indie band named Heroine, understood the depth of her passion and willingly took on the role of band coordinator.

Arel, with his extensive network, reached out to a drumming virtuoso named Shahreen to provide the rhythmic heartbeat of The Hazze. Ezzah reached a familiar face from the Heroine days, a guitarist named Wak, readily agreed to join forces and embark on this new adventure.

As plans were set into motion, the four gathered in October for a crucial meeting to discuss Ezzah's musical vision and their collective commitment to The Hazze. They realize a crucial gap in the lineup, a bassist. Undeterred, Wak called upon an old friend named Cimi, a seasoned bassist, to fill the void. The band was now complete, and in November, they convened for their first jamming session.

Ezzah as rhythm guitarist and main vocalist, Wak as lead guitarist and backing vocal. Saren as a drummer, Cimi as a bassist and Arel as a permanent sessionist, The magic happened instantaneously. The notes resonated with an inexplicable harmony, and The Hazze knew they had stumbled upon something special.

The Hazze’s signature sound was built on five songs that hold a special place in the band’s journey — Kissing Euphoria, She Got You All Night, Borderline, Halfway to Goodbye, and Dance With The Devil. These tracks were originally written and composed by Ezzah, who had kept them quietly tucked away, carrying the raw emotion and lyrical depth she poured into them years before The Hazze even came together. When the band formed, the other members — with their powerful instrumentation, dynamic arrangements, and creative input — took Ezzah’s songs and transformed them into full-fledged anthems that defined The Hazze’s identity. Together, they shaped these pieces into staples of their live sets and recordings, blending gritty rock energy with emotional storytelling, and making sure these once-hidden songs became the heartbeat of The Hazze’s sound.

Live Performances

2023

Plans were set in motion for their debut gig, scheduled for an event called LA DEBUT #2 by Punkcaroba. Excitement permeated the air as the band diligently practiced, fine-tuning their sound and stage presence. However, fate intervened once again, and the anticipated debut gig was canceled.

Undeterred, The Hazze found themselves at the crossroads when, out of the blue, an invitation landed in their laps. An event named SOUNDS GOOD FEELS GOOD 2023, impressed by The Hazze's online presence, reached out via their Instagram account, offering them a slot in their December showcase. With the opportunity, in December, The Hazze made their electrifying debut performance. The crowd was captivated, and the energy between the band members and the audience was palpable.
